Proof of Employment and IncomeRequired

Establishes financial capacity and โ€” critically โ€” a professional reason to return home.

Format: Original employer letter confirming position, salary, leave approval, and return-to-work date.

Proof of Accommodation for Students (Germany: Blocked Account)Required

Germany specifically requires a Sperrkonto (Blocked Account) of EUR โ‚ฌ11,208 before issuing a student visa. Other countries may require proof of scholarship or financial sponsor.

Format: Germany: Sperrkonto certificate from Deutsche Bank, Coracle, Expatrio, or Fintiba. Other countries: scholarship letter or notarized financial guarantee.

Purpose
Flight Itinerary (not a full ticket)Required

Shows your intended entry and exit from the Schengen area.

Format: Printed flight reservation showing outbound and return flights with your name, dates, and flight numbers.

Hotel Reservations for All NightsRequired

Every night of your stay must have confirmed accommodation. Gaps in accommodation bookings are a red flag.

Format: Printed hotel booking confirmation with: hotel name and full address, check-in and check-out dates, guest name.

Detailed Daily ItineraryRequired

Demonstrates that your trip is genuine and well-planned. Officers use this to cross-check your accommodation and flight bookings.

Format: Day-by-day table: date, city, planned activity, accommodation name.

Enrollment Letter (Student D Visa)Required

Proof of unconditional acceptance from a European university or language school.

Format: Official letter on institutional letterhead confirming program, start date, end date, and student ID.

The strongest non-financial document. Shows you will return home after your trip.
